Scaling the DAO Ecosystem: Self Listing is Live on DeepDAO
Introducing Self Listing: a new tool for scaling the DAO ecosystem * You can now list your DAO directly on our DeepDAO.io, and immediately become discoverable within the DAO ecosystem
The DAO ecosystem continues to grow fast. DAO platforms are available on multiple chains and for multiple use cases, and many more are coming, offering various forms of governance and treasury management. We are talking about hundreds, and even thousands of new DAOs every month, and the pace seems to be accelerating.
With that in mind, DeepDAO is excited to announce a new tool geared towards scaling the DAO ecosystem: Self Listing can now be done directly on our site. The process takes just a few minutes. You can choose a name, upload a logo, select editors, and add a description of your DAO and social links. You can also add your token, treasury, and governance.
Once done, your DAO will immediately become discoverable through our search bar, and you can let your DAO members know about it, get your DAO data, and your updated information.
Let us show you how to use the self listing tool.
Step 1: Connect your wallet and press List DAO
When you visit DeepDAO you will see a new button on our header titled “list dao”. Click on it. You’ll be prompted to connect your wallet and sign in.
If you haven’t already, we highly recommend customizing and enriching your personal profile. In a few moments you will be the admin of a new organization and people would like to know more about you. Click “My Profile”, and then Edit to start editing your profile.
Step 2: Your DAO Editors
Your journey towards listing your DAO is underway. You are your DAO admin, and you’ll see that your Ethereum address is already filled in. Please add a valid email address to make sure we can communicate freely and offer support.
You can nominate up to 10 editors for your organization. You’ll need to provide their ETH address, and best email for each of them.
The admin (you) and the editors can change all organization data: name, description, logo, and social links. You should select your editors carefully and make sure you are able to coordinate with them.
Step 3: DAO Details
Scroll further down on the screen and fill in your organization details: logo, name, website, and description. If you wish to do so, include your community rules, or any other data you want to share with your DAOist friends in the organization description.
Next, tell your organization visitors and participants about your social presence. We have a widget for commonly used social media platforms such as Discord and Twitter, and you can add any other link you wish to, and feel is important for you DAO members to know about.
Step 4: Add Token, Governance, and Treasury
On the 2nd screen of DeepDAO’s self listing tool you can add your DAO token, existing governance system, and treasury.
Token: you can add only one governance token. Currently we support four chains: Ethereum, Gnosis Chain, Polygon, and Rinkeby’s testnet. More chains are coming.
With your governance token you’ll be able to immediately start using Brainstorm, our token based discussion tool currently in beta. More on Brainstorm will be provided in a separate, upcoming post.
Governance: as a full DAO aggregator, DeepDAO supports self listing your governance system. Self listing currently supports the following platforms: Snapshot, Compound Governance, Aragon, Daohaus, DAOstack, and Solana (SPL Governance).
Treasury: you can add treasuries from the following chains: Ethereum, Gnosis Chain, Polygon, and Rinkeby’s testnet. Feel free to add all the treasury addresses directly associated with your DAO.
Step 5: Start DAOing!
Click List Organization, and you’re done! Your organization is now discoverable through DeepDAO’s search engine. If you are the admin, you can also find it in the My Organizations section on our search bar. Feel free to invite your editors and your community, and start DAOing together!
